Effective: November 7, 2026
We check every fact you could look up against a reliable source before an article runs. When we still get something wrong, we fix it quickly and say so.
How to report a mistake
Send us a message through the Contact page. Please include:
- the article's address (link);
- what you believe is wrong, such as an outdated fact;
- a source that shows the correct information, if you have one.
What we do next
- We read every report and check it against our sources and any source you send.
- If we made a mistake, or the facts have changed, we update the article as soon as we can.
- If the information is still correct, we keep the article as it is. We may reply to explain where it comes from.
How corrections are noted
- Corrections. When we fix a fact or a name, we add a note at the end of the article that says what was wrong and when we fixed it.
- Updates. When new information changes an article, we add a dated note that says what changed.
- Small fixes. Spelling, grammar and broken links are fixed without a note when they do not change the meaning.
